1. The working belt must be polished before the die is put on the machine. The working belt is generally polished to the mirror surface. Check the flatness and verticality of the die working belt before assembly. The nitriding quality determines the finish of the working strip to a certain extent. Mold cavity must be cleaned with high pressure gas and brush, no dust or foreign impurities, otherwise it is easy to pull the work belt driven by the metal flow, so that the extrusion out of the industrial aluminum profiles product surface thick or line and other defects.
2. Extrusion production mold insulation time is generally about 2-3 hours, but not more than 8 hours, otherwise the mold work with nitriding layer hardness will be reduced, resulting in machine not wear-resistant industrial aluminum profiles surface rough, serious will cause crossing defects.
3. Use the correct method of alkali washing (boiling mold). After the mold is discharged, the temperature of the mold is above 500°C. If the temperature of the mold is immersed in alkaline water immediately, the temperature of the mold is much lower than that of the mold. If the temperature of the mold drops rapidly, the mold is easy to crack. The correct method is to place the mold in the air to 100°-150°C after unloading the mold and then immerse it in alkali water.
4. Optimize the extrusion process. In order to prolong the life of the mold scientifically, the rational use of the mold for production is an aspect that cannot be ignored. Because the working condition of extrusion die is very bad, reasonable measures must be taken to ensure the microstructure and performance of the die in extrusion production.
5. Reasonable surface nitriding treatment must be carried out on the extrusion die in the early stage of use. Surface nitriding treatment can greatly improve the surface hardness of the die under the premise of keeping enough toughness, so as to reduce the thermal wear of the die. It should be noted that surface nitriding can not be completed at one time. During the service of the mold, repeated nitriding treatment must be carried out for 3-4 times, and the thickness of nitriding layer is generally required to be about 0.15mm.
