Punching machining is often encountered in a machining way, the proportion of hole processing reached one-fifth. The non-standard aluminum extrusions machining punching accounts for a higher proportion, because the shape of the non-standard aluminum extrusions is long strip, the section is consistent, so the processing way is relatively simple, the main tapping, punching, milling these several, generally complex processing can be completed on the processing center.
First of all, the selection of drill bit should be correct. The drill bit is generally made of hard alloy, which has high drilling accuracy, long life and high efficiency. There are four main types of carbide bits commonly used in machining:
Carbide indexable blade bits, solid carbide bits, welded carbide bits and replaceable tool head carbide bits.
Integral carbide bit is commonly used in non-standard aluminum extrusions processing, because this kind of bit has centering function and variety is relatively complete. And can process deep hole, processing precision is also relatively high. Even if the drill is no longer sharp, it can be re-polished and reused, saving money.
Selected while the drill also needs to be positioned on the aluminum profile, positioning accuracy is high processing accuracy to high. We generally use computer numerical control positioning in CNC machining center, high precision, if it is manually punched positioning then we will generally make a reference to punch a hole, the reference on the need to punch the non-standard aluminum extrusions workpiece overlaps with it, the efficiency can be improved by drilling the following non-standard aluminum extrusions through the holes of the reference.
Because the hardness of aluminum alloy profile is not high hard metal, relatively soft, so the difficulty of punching is relatively low, it is easy to play. But the low hardness will also cause the phenomenon of burr, burr in general at the edge of the hole, so the aluminum needs to remove the burr after finishing the hole. It is also easy to operate with a special deburring knife.
