Aluminum profile is widely used because of its light weight, high strength, good machinability, strong formability and corrosion resistance. Its uses basically include all walks of life. In the process of processing and production of aluminum profiles, the mold is the key element, but for large and medium-sized aluminum profiles, mold design and processing is very difficult, the production is very difficult, even some molds can not be produced, the quality of the mold is not high enough to lead to the quality of aluminum profiles does not meet the requirements or quality decline, serious will lead to local wear or rupture, this will lead to mold damage and early scrap. Fortunately, inlay structures can be used to solve these problems in die design and manufacturing.

1. Easy to manufacture, greatly reduce the processing workload in mold processing, improve the precision of mold processing. For some multi-cavity aluminum profiles, parts with higher requirements can use mosaic structure, which can effectively reduce the use of electrical machining methods and improve the accuracy of the die. But we need to pay attention to the mosaic structure used in the heat treatment process, should avoid stress concentration.

2. Easy to maintain, replace and adjust. For some key parts, especially small core, mosaic structure can be used to replace the core in time after damage or wear, and even unified upper mold can be used to achieve product serialization.

3. Meet the extrusion process requirements, which is conducive to prolong the service life of the die. The Mosaic structure used should meet the requirements of extrusion process, and meet the requirements of strength and stiffness of die parts. At the same time, it should be beneficial to reduce extrusion pressure.
