The development of clean room is closely linked with modern industry and cutting-edge technology. Due to the environmental requirements of the precision machinery industry and the semiconductor industry, the development of clean room technology has been promoted. Cleanrooms will also become more common in the future across the automotive industry and its suppliers. Cleanrooms facilitate the manufacture and packaging of high-tech or particularly sensitive products, while providing suitable environmental conditions for extensive research and development work.
A clean room is a room in which the concentration of particulate matter in the air is kept low. Air purity is classified according to the cleanliness class, and the equipment in the cleanroom must meet the stringent requirements of the corresponding particle purity class. This means that gaps, holes and rough surfaces must be avoided to facilitate the removal of particulate deposits and thus reduce contamination.
In a cleanroom environment, structures such as racks, guards, workstations or work platforms must meet the relevant requirements for cleanroom cleanliness levels. In order to meet these requirements, aluminum profile manufacturers must accordingly also provide a complete range of cleanroom profiles and accessories.
Aluminum Cleanroom Profiles
The surface of the aluminum profile in the clean room should be smooth and flat to prevent the accumulation of dust. The profiles need to be connected smoothly with almost no gaps or spaces.
To meet the needs of cleanroom applications, manufacturers are required to provide a range of profiles, typically including one to four closed sides and rectangular cross-sections of 40 x 40, 40 x 80, 80 x 80 and 50 x 50 mm, and a diameter of 28 mm or two round profiles of 40 mm.
Traditionally, open system slots have been one of the important product features in aluminium profile technology. It gives the engineer the necessary flexibility to build an adjustable profile frame. In the cleanroom profile, this slot is closed, but can be partially or fully opened if desired. The open slots can be used to connect connecting elements or install other accessories.
