The important position and role of extrusion in the processing of aluminum profiles

Extrusion processing occupies a special position in the aluminum profile industrial system; this is because with the continuous progress of science and technology in recent years, various quality indicators such as the precision, shape, surface finish and organizational properties of aluminum profile products have been improved. To ensure the supply of aluminum profile products that meet various quality requirements, the use of extrusion processing technology has greater advantages and reliability than other pressure processing methods; to sum up, extrusion processing has the following characteristics:
1. The extrusion method can not only produce pipes, rods, shapes, and wire products with simple cross-sectional shapes, but also aluminum profiles and pipes with changing cross-sections and extremely complex shapes, such as stage-changing cross-section profiles, gradually changing cross-section profiles, and special-shaped profiles. Integral wall plate profiles of stiffeners, hollow aluminum profiles with extremely complex shapes, variable-section pipes, porous pipes, etc.; such aluminum profiles are difficult or even impossible to produce by rolling or other pressure processing methods; special-shaped Integral profiles can simplify complex processes such as cold forming, riveting, cutting, chemical milling, etc., which have significant social and economic benefits for reducing equipment investment, saving energy, improving profile utilization, and reducing the total cost of profiles.
2. The extrusion processing has great flexibility. It only needs to replace the extrusion tools such as molds to produce profiles of different shapes, specifications and varieties on one equipment. This processing method is most economical and applicable to aluminum profile processing and production plants with small order batches and many varieties and specifications.
3. For some aluminum profiles with extrusion effect, the longitudinal strength performance of the extruded profiles after quenching and aging is much higher than that of the same type of profiles processed by other methods; Practical value.
